We're excited to have you here! Our goal is to create a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether attending, speaking, exhibiting, or sponsoring, we want you to have a great experience. This document outlines our policies to ensure everyone enjoys the Show. Please read this policy carefully.
Code of Conduct
Expected Behavior
- Be respectful and considerate to others.
- Avoid demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
- Be mindful of your surroundings and others.
- Alert staff if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behaviors include but are not limited to:
- Offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
- Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces.
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
- Harassing photography or recording.
- Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
- Inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.Possession of any item that can be used as a weapon.
If you are asked to stop unacceptable behavior, you must comply immediately. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the event without a refund.
Health and Safety Guidelines
Your safety and well-being are important to us. Please:
- Follow local and national health guidelines before attending.
- Do not attend if you have symptoms of illness, including COVID-19.
- Contact us to discuss other ways to participate.
- Follow all health, safety, and security procedures, including emergency protocols.
- Help us keep the event safe by immediately reporting any unsafe behavior or hazards.
Sustainability Practices
We encourage everyone to be environmentally responsible:
- Follow local guidelines on sustainable travel.
- Use reusable containers for drinks and food.
- Utilize recycling and waste disposal points at the event.
Additional Policies
Badge Usage
By registering for the Show, you agree that you work in the restaurant, hospitality, or food service industry and that the information you provide is accurate. Please:
- Always wear your badge.
- Do not share or swap badges.
- Be prepared to show additional ID if required.
- Allow exhibitors to scan your badge only if you agree to share your contact information.
Anyone with a falsified badge will be ejected from the Show and banned from future events. Badges are the property of the National Restaurant Association Show and must be returned upon request.
Age Restrictions
- No one under 16 is allowed on the Show floor at any time.
- This includes infants and toddlers.
- No strollers or infant carriers are permitted.
- An adult must accompany children aged 16 to 18 at all times.
- No one under 18 is allowed during move-in or move-out periods.
- We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time.
Suit Casing
Suit casing is not allowed. This means attending the Show but soliciting business in the aisles or public spaces without a booth. Violators will be ejected and may be banned from future events.
Event Attire
- Dress appropriately for a professional event.
- Avoid clothing that could offend other participants or the local culture, including images, patterns, or slogans.
Responsible Consumption
- Follow the rules of the venue and event organizer regarding alcohol consumption, smoking, vaping, and using tobacco products.
- Only consume these products in designated areas.
- If you are handling machinery or equipment, do not consume any substances that might impair your behavior or judgment.
Promotions, Recordings, and Image Usage
We respect your privacy and intellectual property rights. Please note the following guidelines regarding promotions, recordings, and image usage:
- Photography and Videography: Photography and videography are only permitted with prior approval from the exhibitor and Show Management. Unauthorized recordings may be subject to deletion, and you may be removed from the event.
- Event Recordings: We hire professional photographers and videographers to capture images and recordings of the Show for promotional purposes. These recordings may include pictures and footage of participants. By attending the Show, you consent to being recorded and our using your image for promotional activities.
- Use of Recordings: We own all images and recordings. They may be used in promotional materials without further consent or compensation. We will not use images or recordings for anything other than promoting our events and activities.
- Intellectual Property: Respect the intellectual property rights of others. Do not use or reproduce any images, logos, or trademarks from the Show without proper authorization.
- Consent Withdrawal: If you wish to withdraw your consent for using your image, please contact Show Management in writing. We will make reasonable efforts to remove your images from future digital promotional materials.
For those who are from or are residents of a country within the European Union, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, or other countries that may have similarly restrictive privacy laws, by attending, you agree that your image may be used in our promotions without charge or obligation.
Attendee Information Sharing
Especially for those who are from or are residents of a country within the European Union, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, or other countries that may have similarly restrictive privacy laws.
Information Sharing Conditions: Your information will be shared with exhibitors under the following conditions:
- Scanning your attendee badge at an exhibitor’s booth or session.
- Adding an exhibitor or session to your Show Planner.
- Initiating contact via the Online Contact form or scheduling an appointment.
Control Over Information: You control how your information is shared by engaging in the above actions. If you do not wish to share your information, avoid these actions.
Data Protection: We comply with U.S. and international data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your personal information will be processed lawfully. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy: https://www.informa.com/privacy-policy.
Right to Be Forgotten: Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request that exhibitors delete or forget your personal information. To exercise this right, contact the exhibitors directly. Show Management can assist in facilitating this process but disclaims any liability for the actions or omissions of exhibitors regarding your personal data.
Data Security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data. Your information is stored securely and accessed only by authorized personnel.
Communications: If you opt in during registration, you may receive promotional emails from exhibitors. If you opt out, you will only receive essential communications from us.
Product Removal from Show Floor
- Products can only be removed from the Show floor with a Merchandise Removal Pass from the exhibitor.
- Alcohol cannot be removed even with a pass.
