January 21, 2025
The 2025 National Restaurant Association Show is rolling out an exciting lineup of sessions, events and activities—and you might notice a familiar theme. Three of these new opportunities draw inspiration from FX’s The Bear, the critically acclaimed series that vividly portrays the challenges and triumphs of life in the restaurant industry.
Set and filmed in Chicago, The Bear celebrates the city’s vibrant culinary scene while highlighting the dedication and resilience of foodservice professionals everywhere. With three successful seasons, the show’s influence has transcended entertainment, creating a cultural moment for both Chicago dining and the industry at large.
“With the Show being held annually in Chicago, a city with a rich culinary scene and history, we felt it was only natural for us to highlight some of what the rest of the country is seeing in popular entertainment,” says Lisa Malikow, Senior Vice President of Event Operations and Programming for the National Restaurant Association Show. “The speakers and dining experiences that attendees will have access to will be a treat as consumers and restaurant professionals alike will get to feel the buzz that is happening around Chicago right now.”
