Press Criteria
On behalf of the National Restaurant Association Show, we invite working media to join us for the largest, most important industry trade event of the year. This event gives an unparalleled opportunity to engage with professionals seeking to reimagine foodservice through new products, technology, concepts, and thought leadership.
Who can register as Press?
Press passes will be granted to working media that regularly cover food, foodservice, entertainment and leisure or other topics related to the foodservice and hospitality industries.
Press Criteria & Credentials: All press registrants are required to submit credentials. Upon review, qualified members of the press will be provided a press pass.
Past attendance or registration does not guarantee approval. The National Restaurant Association Show communications team reserves the right to permit or deny admission to anyone based on the information submitted. Please contact Julie Franks ([email protected]) with questions.
Please note: Press passes will not be granted to publishers, general managers, account managers, PR/marketing professionals, sales associates or anyone who is attending the Show for reasons other than providing editorial coverage as working media. Non-working media are invited to register through general attendee registration by clicking here.

Expanded Press Criteria
Reporters & Editors
As a reporter or editor for print and digital publications, please plan to provide the following during registration:
- Reason for attending the Show, including intended coverage topics
- Publication name and URL
- Links to two bylined articles published within the last six months (if you attended the Show in 2024, you MUST provide at least one example of Show coverage)
- Job Title
- Note: Local media are welcome to attend but must submit past Show coverage or coverage related to the foodservice industry. Past attendance does NOT guarantee approval.
Broadcast: On-Air Talent and Producers
As broadcast on-air talent or producer, please plan to provide the following during registration:
- Reason for attending the Show, including intended coverage topics
- Station name and URL
- Links to two online segments published with the last six months (if you attended the Show in 2024, you MUST provide at least one example of Show coverage)
- Job Title
OR
- A link to a page or masthead from the station website listing you as an editorial contributor/producer AND a link to your LinkedIn profile.
- Note: Local media are welcome to attend are encouraged to reach out to Julie Franks for assistance with logistics.
Book Authors
As a book author, please plan to provide the following during registration:
- Media company name and URL
- Reason for attending the Show, including intended topic
- Links to published work and your personal website
- Job Title
- Note: Book authors and long-form freelancers may be asked to provide additional details about their current project.
Freelancers
Freelancers must be working with a news outlet. Please plan to provide the following during registration:
- Reason for attending the Show, including intended coverage topics and description of assignment by a media company.
- Assigning publication name and URL
- Links to two examples of published work either in the assigning publication or relevant to the industry within the last six months.
- Job Title
- Note: Freelancers may be asked to submit a letter of assignment on company letterhead OR from a company email address
Photographers & Film Crews
Photographers and film crews must be affiliated with a news outlet. Please plan to provide the following during registration:
- Reason for attending the Show, including intended coverage topics and description of assignment by a media company.
- Assigning company name and URL
- Links to published work, LinkedIn profile or professional website for your photography/film company (if you attended the Show in 2024, you MUST provide at least one example of Show coverage)
- Job Title
- Note: Photographers and film crews may be asked to submit a letter of assignment on company letterhead OR from a company email address.
Other Media Roles
Press passes will not be granted to publishers, general managers, account managers, PR/marketing professionals, sales associates, industry analysts or anyone who is attending the Show for reasons other than providing editorial coverage as working media.
Non-working media are invited to register through general attendee registration by clicking here.
